🌍 Team Uganda 🇺🇬 Above you can see our farm workers, who have been with us for about 4 months now. They're motivated and hard-working and have great chemistry with our volunteers. Moses and Daliony: joined us after they finished working on the construction side of the first classroom block. Since they were trustworthy and able workers we decided to keep them with us for the BMK project. Brian, Kato and Ashraf: are all graduates from the Ssese farming school. They've proven to be valuable employees and harmonise well with the rest of the team. #bbanga #kalangala #growth #greatteam #ngo #charity

🌍 Team Uganda 🇺🇬 Our next team members took over big responsibilities and help us out a lot. Gloria: our new Bakyala Tukole Manager. She previously worked at one of the hotels on Kalangala beach. Luckily, she decided to join Bbanga project. Her and of course, our mothers' success and learning curve have been going up rapidly and they're already able to offer a variety of products, soon to be available in Austria and Germany as well. Brian: originally was supposed to be one of our casusal farm workers, but instead proved to be far more valuable. Brian used to be a schooladministrator and studied IT at college. He also brings experience from teaching, helping Annet to counduct the reading program. Fred: is one of our farm managers. He is a very respected member of the community and crucial in our communication with the different community leaders/members. Furthermore, he conducts community workshops, regarding sustainable farming, tree planting, etc. Arthur: is our second farm manager and is going to be in charge of on site operations. He is a young and energetic person, who brings a lot of knowledge and willingness to try new things with him. #bbanga #kalangala #growth #greatteam #ngo #charity

🌍 Team Uganda 🇺🇬 Since the start of the year a lot has happened due to the BMK project. One thing that has changed are the new employees that were added to Team Uganda. So we thought it's about time that we showcase our new updated Bbanga Team. Edi: is the co-founder of Bbanga Project and familiar face. He is responsible for our operations in Uganda. Annet: was our first employee. She joined Bbanga Project back in 2017. Now she is responsible for the Bbanga mobile library and sponsorships. Viktoria: joined Bbanga almost 1 year ago. Soon we have to celebrate her Bbanga anniversary 🤪. Viki is our volunteer coordinator and used to be responsible for the women's project Bakyala Tukole. Now she takes care of accounting and finances, as well as being Edi's secretary under BMK. #bbanga #kalangala #growth #greatteam #ngo #charity

🚮Plastic Workshop♻️ Plastic waste is a big problem in Uganda. Back in 2020 one of our volunteers realized that the instant he arrived on the islands. So he started to build a plastic recycling machine. Unfortunately his efforts were cut short by the covid pandemic. Our current volunteers picked up the project again. One part of the plastic initiative is to raise awareness. That's why we're having our first plastic workshop with our kids. #bbanga #plasticrecycling #workshop #awareness #kalangala #ngo #holiday
